Anyformat Raises €3.3M Seed Round to Scale AI-Powered Document Intelligence Platform
Spanish generative AI startup Anyformat has secured a €3.3 million seed funding round to accelerate the development and commercial expansion of its document-intelligence platform, marking a significant milestone as the company scales its presence in enterprise automation and data-driven workflows.
The seed round was led by Kibo Ventures, with participation from existing backers 4Founders, Abac Nest Ventures, and Decelera Ventures, all of which had supported the company in earlier stages. The continued backing from these investors underscores confidence in Anyformat’s technology and long-term market opportunity.
Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Madrid, Anyformat develops AI-powered software designed to help organizations extract, structure, and contextualize data from unstructured documents such as contracts, invoices, emails, and presentations. The platform combines machine learning and generative AI to process documents at scale, aiming to deliver high-accuracy outputs while significantly reducing manual work.
Unlike traditional optical character recognition tools, Anyformat’s technology focuses on connecting extracted information directly with an organization’s internal systems, including customer databases, policy libraries, and operational datasets. This approach enables companies to validate information in real time and automate downstream workflows, helping reduce errors and speed up decision-making across departments.
Since its launch, Anyformat has gained traction among large enterprises and public-sector organizations. The company has worked with clients including the Singapore Government, L’Oréal Group, and IAG Group, demonstrating its ability to deploy document intelligence solutions in complex, regulated environments that demand high levels of accuracy, security, and compliance.
According to the company, the new capital will be used primarily to strengthen product development and expand the engineering team, with a focus on improving extraction capabilities and building advanced error-detection models. Anyformat also plans to invest in growing its commercial and go-to-market teams to support expansion across Spain and the broader European market.
A core part of Anyformat’s strategy centers on data sovereignty and privacy-first infrastructure, which the company views as critical for serving large enterprises and public institutions. The startup is working toward internationally recognized security standards, including ISO 27001, to meet the requirements of customers operating in highly regulated industries.
The seed round follows a €520,000 pre-seed funding round raised earlier, highlighting a steady progression in the company’s funding journey and validating investor interest in its approach to document intelligence. With the latest financing, Anyformat expects to accelerate customer acquisition and deepen relationships with existing enterprise clients.
Investors see the document intelligence market as being at an inflection point, driven by the growing adoption of generative AI and increasing demand for automation tools that can handle large volumes of unstructured data. Enterprises are under pressure to transform documents into actionable insights while maintaining strict controls over data security and compliance.
Looking ahead, Anyformat projects strong revenue growth as adoption increases, with the company targeting more than €1 million in annual recurring revenue by 2026. The startup plans to continue refining its platform to support complex use cases such as automated compliance checks, audit readiness, and advanced analytics that draw on multiple internal data sources.
As organizations worldwide seek more efficient ways to manage and analyze documents, Anyformat’s latest funding round positions the company to play a growing role in the evolution of enterprise document automation, particularly within Europe’s rapidly expanding AI ecosystem.
