CommerceClarity Raises €2.7M Pre‑Seed to Power AI‑Driven E‑Commerce Automation
Milan‑based AI‑powered e‑commerce platform CommerceClarity has raised €2.7 million in a pre‑seed funding round to accelerate development of its composable AI operating system and support international expansion. The funding round was led by Italian Founders Fund (IFF) and Entourage, with participation from several other investors backing the company’s vision of automating and optimising core commerce workflows.
CommerceClarity’s platform uses specialised AI agents to automate catalogue management — transforming raw product data into structured, machine‑readable content that can be deployed across markets, channels and retail environments. The company’s founders say this automation helps brands and retailers improve efficiency, reduce operational costs and accelerate time‑to‑market in a growing digital commerce landscape increasingly driven by AI.
In addition to its lead investors, the round included contributions from Euregio+, Redstone,Vento (Exor), Ithaca Investment and Vesper Holding. This broad mix of venture capital firms and investment partners reflects confidence in CommerceClarity’s strategy and its positioning at the intersection of e‑commerce and generative AI innovation.
Founded in 2024 by co‑CEOs Federico Sargenti and Daniele Vella, alongside co‑founders Michele Sampieri and Alessandro Angelini, CommerceClarity has built early momentum by helping brands and retailers automate complex aspects of product catalogue operations. Prior to the funding round, the company launched its first products and secured traction with more than 40 global retailers and brands, including major names such as Nestlé Purina, Arcaplanet, Cisalfa, 1000Farmacie and Caddy’s.
The core of CommerceClarity’s value proposition lies in its ability to address one of digital retail’s longstanding pain points: messy, unstructured product data that inhibits discovery, visibility and sales performance. Many e‑commerce teams still rely on spreadsheets, manual workflows and disconnected tools to manage product listings — processes that are time‑intensive and difficult to scale. CommerceClarity’s network of specialised AI agents automates ingestion, enrichment and validation of product attributes, categories, localisations and compliance with marketplace requirements, enabling teams to focus on growth rather than data wrangling.
By structuring and optimising catalog data, the platform makes products more discoverable and actionable for both traditional search and emerging AI‑driven shopping systems. The company argues that structured data is essential in the “agentic era” of commerce, where AI agents are expected to play a central role in discovery, evaluation and purchasing decisions.
CommerceClarity’s platform is designed to be composable and flexible, integrating with existing commerce tech stacks rather than replacing them. This approach allows brands and retailers to retain familiar systems while layering in intelligent automation that accelerates processes and improves consistency. Early users of the platform have reported measurable improvements, including reduced operational costs, increased traffic and sales performance, and shorter time‑to‑market for new product listings.
The funding will be used to expand the company’s product suite by adding more specialised AI agents across the commerce stack, further develop its core technology, and scale its go‑to‑market teams across Europe. CommerceClarity also plans to strengthen its presence in key markets by leveraging offices in Milan, Rome and London, positioning itself to serve both local and international customers as it grows.
Investors in the round highlighted the timeliness of CommerceClarity’s solution as digital retail continues to evolve and demand automation that can keep pace with increasingly complex product ecosystems. Lead backers Italian Founders Fund and Entourage both emphasised the company’s potential to be foundational infrastructure for modern commerce, empowering retailers and brands to operate with greater intelligence, consistency and efficiency.
As CommerceClarity moves into 2026 with fresh capital and an expanding customer base, it is positioning itself as a key platform in the next era of AI‑driven commerce infrastructure. The company’s focus on agentic automation and structured data reflects broader trends in the retail technology landscape, where efficiency and scalability are paramount to long‑term competitive advantage.
