Iron Games Raises $4 Million Seed Round Led by Arcadia Gaming Partners to Scale Mobile Game Development
Iron Games, a London-based mobile games studio founded by former Gram Games executives, has secured $4 million in seed funding to support team expansion and accelerate development of its first portfolio of titles. The investment was led by Arcadia Gaming Partners, an early-stage venture platform focused on backing high-potential mobile gaming studios. The round marks one of the first publicly known investments from Arcadia’s dedicated mobile gaming fund, which targets studios with strong creative leadership and scalable production models.
Founded in June 2023, Iron Games was co-established by chief product officer Eren Yanık and chief operating officer Remzi Şenel, both of whom previously held senior roles at Gram Games. During their time at Gram Games, the founders were involved in the development and growth of Merge Dragons!, a globally successful mobile title that helped define the merge game genre. Drawing on that experience, Iron Games was created with the ambition of rethinking casual and merge games through faster development cycles, original mechanics and long-term player engagement.
The newly raised capital will be used to grow Iron Games’ development team and invest in internal systems designed to streamline production and enable quicker game launches. The studio is focused on building reusable tools and workflows that allow it to iterate rapidly while maintaining quality and creative consistency across multiple projects. This approach reflects a broader strategy to develop what the founders describe as a portfolio of long-lasting games rather than relying on a single breakout hit.
Arcadia Gaming Partners’ backing brings more than financial support. The firm is led by Akin Babayigit, who previously served as president of Tripledot Studios and has extensive experience scaling mobile gaming companies. Through Arcadia, Iron Games gains access to strategic guidance, industry insight and a network designed to help early-stage studios navigate the competitive mobile gaming market. The investment aligns with Arcadia’s thesis of supporting small, focused teams with proven leadership that can execute efficiently and innovate within established genres.
Iron Games’ vision centers on blending familiar gameplay elements with fresh mechanics to create accessible yet distinctive experiences for players. The studio believes that innovation in casual gaming does not necessarily require reinventing genres from scratch, but rather refining core mechanics and delivering them with higher quality, polish and speed. By leveraging their background in successful live games, the founders aim to avoid common pitfalls such as overproduction and slow iteration, which can hinder young studios.
The funding also allows Iron Games to invest in technology infrastructure that supports live operations and long-term player engagement. Building games intended to last for years requires not only compelling design but also robust backend systems, analytics and live-ops capabilities. The studio plans to allocate part of the capital toward strengthening these foundations early, positioning itself for sustainable growth as its games reach wider audiences.
The seed round comes at a time when investor interest in mobile gaming is becoming more selective. Rather than chasing volume, many investors are prioritizing studios with experienced leadership, disciplined production strategies and a clear vision for longevity. Iron Games’ focus on efficient development and reusable systems resonates with this shift, as it suggests a scalable model capable of producing multiple successful titles over time.
For Iron Games, the $4 million investment provides both runway and validation as it moves into its next phase. The studio is currently working on its first projects while continuing to hire selectively across design, engineering and product roles. With backing from Arcadia Gaming Partners and leadership shaped by previous success in the mobile games industry, Iron Games is positioning itself as an emerging player aiming to deliver enduring casual games in a highly competitive global market.
