SleepUp Raises $2 Million to Revolutionize Digital Sleep Therapy with Advanced Tech and Strategic Investor Backing
SleepUp, a Brazilian healthtech startup specializing in digital therapies for sleep disorders, has secured a total of R$ 9.7 million (approximately USD 2 million) in funding to advance its mission of democratizing sleep health. The company offers a clinically validated digital platform approved by the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency (ANVISA), combining cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBTi), mindfulness exercises, and telemedicine consultations.
In November 2021, SleepUp received an initial investment of R$ 2 million from a consortium of angel investors, including GVAngels, Aimorés Investimentos, Poli Angels, Sororité, and Jupter, along with four unnamed executives. This funding facilitated the development of SleepUp’s mobile application, which is available on both iOS and Android platforms, providing users with tools to track sleep patterns, access relaxation techniques, and receive professional guidance.
In July 2025, SleepUp secured an additional R$ 7 million in a funding round led by Criatec 4, a fund established with resources from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) and the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), managed by Triaxis Capital and Crescera Capital. This round also saw participation from angel investor groups such as GVAngels, Poli Angels, Sororité, and Anjos do Brasil, as well as international investors. The capital raised is being utilized to enhance SleepUp’s digital therapeutic platform, integrate wearable devices for sleep monitoring, and expand its reach to a broader audience.
The company’s platform employs proprietary algorithms and wearable technology, including an electroencephalogram (EEG) headband, to monitor sleep patterns and provide personalized therapeutic interventions. These innovations have positioned SleepUp at the forefront of digital health solutions for sleep disorders in Brazil.
