Spectral Compute Raises $6M Seed Funding to Unlock GPU Portability Beyond Nvidia CUDA

Spectral Compute, a London-based software startup focused on reducing hardware dependency in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence workloads, has secured $6 million in seed funding as it moves toward commercial expansion. The seed round was led by Costanoa Ventures, with participation from Crucible Capital and a syndicate of 12 angel investors. Founded in 2018, Spectral Compute was created to address one of the most persistent challenges in modern computing: the lack of portability for GPU-accelerated software.
